About the Department of Business Administration
The Department of Business Administration was established in 2001 within the Faculty of Literature and Humanities at the University of Kurdistan, admitting its first cohort of undergraduate students to the full-time program in the same year. The department progressively expanded its offerings, introducing an evening program in 2004 and a semi-presential program in 2006. In 2013, the department advanced into postgraduate education with the launch of the Master's program in Business Administration. This was followed in 2015 by the introduction of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and the Bachelor's program in Tourism. Currently, the department offers programs at the undergraduate level (Business Administration, Tourism Management, Tourism) and the graduate level (Business Administration, MBA) across full-time, evening, campus-based, and international formats. The academic staff comprises 8 full-time faculty members and over 30 adjunct lecturers, who deliver teaching and research services across 8 active majors and concentrations.

In fulfillment of our academic and social mission, our future plans are focused on developing new specialized programs, strengthening ties with industry and the community, and supporting innovative research. Our ultimate goal is to cultivate a generation of capable and responsible managers equipped to create positive and lasting transformations in both national and international arenas.

The management and business programs are designed to develop competent managers to lead economic, social, manufacturing, and service organizations. These programs aim to produce graduates who possess the following capabilities:
